Grandmaster Won Chik Park

LMRA Taekwondo is a branch school of the Won Park Institute and Grandmaster Won Park tests all students. The Won Park Institute was founded in 1968, in Seoul, South Korea by Grandmaster Won Chik Park. The school was moved to the United States in 1972, where it remained in Detroit, Michigan until 1978, when the school relocated permanently in Fort Worth, Texas. Grandmaster Park started teaching a class at General Dynamics Recreation Area (now LMRA) in 1979 and has had a branch school there ever since. Grandmaster Park’s present location, is at 7930 Camp Bowie Blvd West, in west Fort Worth. Won Park Institute hosts the annual Fort Worth International Tae Kwon Do Championship, which is one of the largest competitions in the state.
