One-Step Sparring: left side

16. Middle Punch
Step back with right foot into Back Stance. Do a left-hand Outside-to-Inside Single Knife-Hand Block, left-hand Inside-to Outside Knife-Hand Strike to neck, sliding left Elbow Strike to midsection.

17. Middle Punch
Slide to right. Do left-hand Inside-to-Outside Single Knife-Hand Block and grab attacker’s wrist. Do a left foot Roundhouse kick to midsection, a left foot Side Kick to knee, then set left foot down and finish with a right-hand High Punch while pulling the attacker in with the trapped wrist.

18. Middle Punch
Slide 45 degrees to the left into Horseback Stance. Do simultaneous right-hand Inside-to Outside Single Knife-Hand Block and left-hand Outside-to-Inside Knife-Hand Strike to the neck with Back Stance. Grab the attacker’s wrist with the right hand, pulling in and down. Shift into Front Stance and do two elbow Strikes to the face; first left to right, then right to left.

19. High Punch Takedown
Step back with left foot into Front Stance. Do a right-hand High Block, grab the attacker’s wrist, and twist the arm outward and down. Do a left-hand Palm Heel Thrust to the face, then grab the uniform at the left shoulder and sweep the attacker’s left leg with your left leg. Take down, then punch to face.

20. High Punch
Step back with right foot into Front Stance. Do a left-hand High Block, grab attacker’s wrist and twist the arm Out and around in a clockwise circle. Step in with the right foot and break the attacker’s left elbow with your right forearm (continue the hold on the wrist). While maintaining the grip on the wrist, slide the right foot back into a Back Stance and do a Front Snap Kick to the ribs with your left foot.
